These past few days has seen Romijn get playful with the promotional phase of the new series by using her father-in-law in a couple of Instagram posts.

On Wednesday, she shared a photo of her husband, Jerry O’Connell’s dad Michael O’Connell, standing next to a promo poster of Romijn while in a subway station in Manhattan.

‘This is my adorable father-in-law. He stood here in the NY subway for 3hrs and told everyone who passed, that his daughter-in-law, Number One, serves on the Enterprise @startrekonpplus #strangenewworlds,’ she wrote in the caption.

The next day, on Thursday, Romijn was back at it again, using her father-in-law as a prop in another picture of Mr. O’Connell striking a pose next to her image in film promo poster.

This time she used a bit of humor, while engaging her 228,000 Instagram fans and followers.

‘If anyone is near the 18th Street Uptown One Train Station, my father-in-law is still next to the Strange New Worlds poster,’ Romijn joked in the caption.

Along with Romijn, Anson Mount (Pike) and Ethan Peck (Spock) are also reprising their roles. The characters were introduced in the original Star Trek series, and these actors were cast in the roles for the second season of Discovery in 2019.
